It is the month of Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé, the Queen and King of this festive celebration of Jesus Christ’s birthday. Let’s admit it, every time this month rolls around, we’ll be hearing Mariah belting out how much she wants us for Christmas.

So here’s a list of Christmas events to look out for in malls around Klang Valley because in case you haven’t realised, “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.”

1. Mid Valley Home For Christmas

Nothing says Christmas like Sherlockian England with their cups of warm tea and mountains of snow, and Mid Valley Megamall is bringing as much of that vibe as possible to KL, between 24th November 2017 and 1st January 2018.

Set in a countryside train station atmosphere, you’ll get to meet Santa just to make sure that you’re on the ‘good’ list and listen to jazz performances.

You can also earn gift tokens either by making purchases using your HSBC credit card, cash, or other cards. Those gift tokens can then be used to redeem gifts like Santa’s cocoa mug, a Christmas journal, and cotton candy.

When: November 24-January 1

Where: Mid Valley Megamall

2. Sunway Pyramid Magical Tudor Christmas

Sunway Pyramid is bringing the magic of Tudors to us this Christmas, from 24th November 2017 to 1st January 2018. When you take a stroll down the setup, you will see cobble streets, towering Christmas trees and vintage store houses, all inspired by Tudorian elements.

If you are an HSBC card holder and you’ve spent RM700 there, you are entitled to a free classic journal. Non-cardholders can get one too, but only if they spend a minimum of RM800.

That’s not it, you can also send a loved one a personalised postcard by participating in their photo booth. And Mr Claus has already obliged to show up every weekend from 2nd December to 25th December to bring joy to the children!

When: December 2-25

Where: Sunway Pyramid

3. 1 Utama’s Joyous Christmas

Even before December, 1 Utama has already decked the halls with Christmas ornaments and decorations to welcome the snowy festival, providing visitors with a faux-snow environment in consolation for the lack of actual snow in Malaysia.

They have the classic Christmas music, snowy clouds, cute little snowmen, and festive workshops to ensure that you immerse yourself in the Christmas mood as much as possible.

You also have the chance to win shopping vouchers! All you have to do is join the Instagram Wintery Trail, whereby you follow the landmarks they have installed all over the winter wonderland, take some worthy shots and upload them on Instagram!

When: November 28-December 26

Where: 1 Utama Shopping Mall

4. Honestbee Christmas Pop-up Store @ Lot 10

Get a chance to get the full Honestbee experience and drop by Lot 10 from 7th December 2017 to 1st January 2018!

At Pavilion KL, you don’t only get one Mr Claus, you get a whole group of them. These automated Santas will no doubt provide a unique Christmas experience and there’s even one on a hot air balloon installation!

This Christmas, Pavilion will have a whole host of activities planned out for you, in which you get to witness a live band performing all the Christmas tunes, elves throwing their weight around trying to get on Santa’s good side, and Tinkerbell wannabes being all pretty and charming.

6. Bangsar Shopping Center Christmas

Even Bangsar Shopping Center is joining in on the fun this festive season. While it may not be as extravagant as the others, you can still feel as if Christmas is really nigh and it’s time to stop being the Christmas Grinch for once.

Whip out your credit cards and get ready to shop till you drop at the Christmas Bazaar they have set up. If you spend as much as RM1000—or even more—you are entitled to get a special Christmas canister that is only available between 24th November and 24th December 2017.

When: November 24-December 24

Where: Bangsar Shopping Centre

The celebration of Christmas at Publika is an avant garde, high-fashioned one, complete with an amazing display of Christmas trees that reach new heights, decorated with unique ornaments and artistic designs.

They have arranged for carolers to bless the shoppers’ ears, and a huge bazaar for you to buy gifts at. You can also choose to participate in their Christmas workshops, where you can either learn paper quilling art, candle painting, shrinkable plastic crafting, or stone painting!

8. The Gardens Mall Dreams of a White Christmas

While Mid Valley went for the classic olden British aura for their Christmas celebration, right next door is a duplication of a white Christmas.

Decorations have been put up to turn the interior into an actual snowing haven, minus the cold factor of it all. To add to the festivities of it all, there are brass bands to put on performances for you, snow displays, meetings with the Claus couple, and a musical performance entitled The Enchanted Garden.

When: November 24-December 25

Where: Mid Valley Shopping Mall

9. Suria KLCC Enchanted Christmas

With all these setting up going on, you can’t expect the mighty KLCC to lose out. The tree is even certified as the tallest Christmas Tree Replica in the Malaysia Book of Records!
