1. Aspiring New Zealand Photo Exhibition by Jeffry Lim
New Zealand is known for their amazing winter landscape and this exhibition at Bangsar Shopping Centre is all about this beautiful country. Malaysian photographer, Jeffry Lim has once traveled to this country and snapped breathtaking shots while there. This exhibition is his way of presenting his body of work to Malaysians. Be ready to be inspired as you journey through the photo exhibition. Who knows? It might just spark wanderlust within you as you purchase tickets to see New Zealand with your own eyes.

2. Songkran Street Fest at Ekkamai, Plaza Batai
Songkran is a Thai New Year festival and it’s normally celebrated around this time of the year. If you’re looking to experience Thailand but you’re not ready to purchase tickets there yet, you can experience Songkran at Ekkaimai, Jalan Batai instead. This Songkran Street Fest will be a celebration of song, music, food and dance. Anticipate a traditional Thai dance, muay thai show and live music. Best part is, this is all FREE!

3. IF WALLS COULD TALK vol. 32
This edition of If Walls Could Talk features Fazleen & The Lasykar, a folk band who will be performing a contemporary poetry to the tune of old-fashioned rock’n’roll music. Performance artist and comedian, Scott Sneddon is the special guest to look out for at this poetry reading session.

4. Movie Under The Stars: The Breakfast Club 1985
This edition of Movie Under The Stars at Frisky Rooftop Bar will feature the classic movie, The Breakfast Club. The 1995 movie centres around 5 high school students who meet up at the Saturday detention class and find out that they have a lot more in common than they initially thought.

5. Baak Fo Kongsi 百貨公司
The literal translation of the name of this event is “supermarket” and it’s pretty much like a bazaar. Their aim is to ‘kongsi’ pre-owned items. It’s also a chance for you to ‘kongsi’ with others the story behind each preloved item which is up for sale. You’ll be able to find plenty of items here such as travel basics, personal accessories, homeware products, beauty products and more.

6. Japan Otaku Matsuri 2017
Japan Otaku Matsuri is the first event in Malaysia that will be mainly showcasing Hijab/Muslimah cosplay. Regardless of whether you’re a hijab cosplayer or not, everyone is welcome to join in the fun and meet new people. Like any other cosplay events, there will be makeup workshops, comic panels and coswalks too.

7. It’s Just An Art Thing
It’s Just An Art Thing is a place for artsy people and curious cats to gather at. It’s a bazaar/arts markets and you’ll be able to find items by Ohsum Mossum Terrariums, KANTA box Kamra, Biji Ke;s, NOWORNEVER Design, Max’s Pokemart and more.

8. Free Dance Workshop at Aswara
For avid dancers or beginners out there, here’s a chance for you to take a dance class for absolutely FREE! In conjunction with International Dance Day on April 29th, Aswara’s Faculty of Dance will be offering workshops in different dance styles like contemporary, line dance, latin dance, zumba, hip hop and Malay folk dance. Registration begins at 8am on the day of the event, but in order to secure your spot, it’s best to head there early.
