The 61st Merdeka celebration is right around the corner and it is certainly a night worth celebrating. Here are 15 Merdeka-themed events to look forward to!
1. The Merdeka Show @ Merdekarya
Plan on doing something different for the Merdeka countdown this year, rather than heading to the generic clubs, and Dataran Merdeka. Well, Merdekarya is where you’d want to be at during the eve of Merdeka. Enjoy a triple dose of “Malaysiana” as deejays The Panda Head Curry, Otam, Azmyl Yumor and Orkes Padu brings back the good ol’ nostalgic days. What else is in store that night, you may wonder? For a cover charge as low as RM25, you’d get drinks all night long for just RM10.

2. Merdeka Eve Party @ Hugo’s KL
From RM110, you’d get to thoroughly enjoy Hugo’s Food Platter and Beer Combo during an epic Merdeka eve party. You’d also get to catch Roofteology live that night, and I am pretty sure they’d make everyone get up on their feet and dance the night away. Happy Hour starts from 6pm-9pm, but you lucky ladies are in for free cocktails too. Free flow for 2 hours straight? Sounds like music to my ears!
