Somersby Malaysia has officially released a refreshing new cider with a remarkably floral twist. The DiscoverKL team was invited for the media + trade launch party of the Somersby Elderflower Lime beverage last Friday where the floral cider was unveiled.
Held at Morganfields, Da Men, the restaurant was transformed into a floral garden!
If you like a white-themed party just like the one in White Chicks, you can just imagine how this one turned out.
Guests were crowned with a floral crown as they took their shots in front of an eye-catching flower tunnel that led to an amazing Scandinavian-style garden with elderflowers all around.
The garden, peppered with mock elderflowers, gave off that perfect summer vibe!
Packed with influencers, members of the media and partners, the party was one of those that you’d want to be seen at.
Everyone was seen wandering through the space, trying to capture beautiful photos that were Instagram-worthy.
To keep things fun and light, there was even a competition being held during the event. Those with the best pictures uploaded onto Instagram with the event hashtags would win a mystery gift from Somersby. It was pretty entertaining as we watched the winners excitedly get up on stage to collect their mystery gift.
The event went on without a hitch and there was even a live band performance.
Attendees were treated to an unlimited flow of ciders as well as a series of amuse-bouches and canapés and a glorious buffet spread.
Not only were the new Elderflower Lime beverages being served, well-loved flavours such as the Somersby Apple, Blackberry, and Sparkling Rosé were served as well.
However, the star of the show was none other than the Elderflower Lime.
Just a little background on why elderflowers are incorporated into the drink.
The flower is actually a white blossom of the elderberry tree that is combined with lime to create a perfect balance of sweet and sour, making it the ideal beverage to be paired with light meals.
On our end, we absolutely loved Somersby’s classic flavours but the new elderflower lime beverage definitely caught our attention.
Floral ciders are not the norm, and with each sip of this beverage, we could taste the pleasant floral taste with a hint of lime. Considering how it’s light and zesty, it’s the perfect party drink.

They will be making their rounds at local tourists spots, night markets and supermarkets around Peninsular Malaysia during the month of September with free samples of the drink.
