1. Ballet Illuminations
If you fancy classical ballet dances, be on the lookout for the long-anticipated dance production by the Singapore Dance Theatre. The Ballet Illuminations Malaysia Tour is a mix of classical and contemporary ballet. Be prepared to be amazed as you sit back and enjoy the performance at KLPAC.

2. World Jazz Youth Festival
TREC will be throwing a World Jazz Youth Festival party this month, from May 5-7 and it is the 6th edition of the event. The festival will be a showcasing of the best homegrown and international jazz artistes coming from Spain, Indonesia, Philippines and of course, Kuala Lumpur. If you enjoy jazzy tunes, attend the 7-hour event just to chill out with some bubbly in hand.

3. Food For Good Market
This 2-day festival is all about a food market for nutritious foods. The main highlights of the event are homecooked meals to try, secondhand book swaps and there’ll be plenty of meals from all around the world to try, such as nyonya meals, Pakistani food as well as Teochew dishes. Be sure to head there with an empty stomach! 😉

4. AMG-Chan 2017
It seems that there are plenty of anime festivals as of late and there’ll be one at Evolve Concept Mall this week. The organisers of AniManGaki anime festival are holding an AMG-Chan event and it’s pretty much a mini version of the famed AniManGaki event, with plenty of comic and gaming booths in store.

5. Triplet Concert: The Convergence Of Classical & Modern
This event is a mix between modern and classical music and it will be performed by the folks from the Sunway University Ensemble, Monash Chamber Orchestra and Taylor’s University Symphony Orchestra. Watch as these talented musicians take the stage to present the tunes from the New World Symphony 4th Mov, Jurassic Park, Game of Thrones and plenty more. Be sure to abide by the smart casual dress code too.

6. Battle Of Freaks II
What is Battle Of Freaks II? It’s actually a fitness event in collaboration with the World Fitness Federation International and the event will be held at the PJ Live Arts Theatre. Those who have trained real hard to gain their rock hard physique are encouraged to join and beat out the rest to be the ultimate winner. It’s also a good chance to meet like-minded fitness enthusiasts!

7. Kuala Lumpur International Ska Festival
Are you a fan of Ska music? Well, you’re in luck! The Kuala Lumpur International Ska Festival will be held for one day only at the Chin Woo Stadium and door sale tickets are priced at RM80. As ska is a distinct music form, you might just be able to meet like-minded folks amongst the crowd and people who appreciate the same type of music as you do.

8. Klang Heritage Fest 2017
Klang will be having their heritage fest this week and it’s a chance for Klang folks to breathe new life into their old buildings. It’ll be a fun time out for Klang-ites as there will be food, traditional performances and more in store.

9. KL Highland Games 2017
If you want a taste of Scotland but you’re not ready to pay a hefty price tag just yet, you’d be glad to know that there’ll be an upcoming celebration of all things Scottish. Entitled the Kuala Lumpur Highland Games, it’s a place where you’ll be able to catch grown men in kilts as they perform bagpipe music and dance traditional Scottish dances. Enjoy the Scottish day out with some Scottish grub too, while you’re there.

10. Malaysia Coffee Festival
