Ever walked into a café and browsed through the menu only to sit in silence and shock as you contemplate the extravagant prices for its food?

I bet it’s happened to most of us, at least once.

The right thing to do would be to leave the eatery, should we not feel comfortable with the prices that we are paying but sometimes, the sheer embarrassment and trouble leaves us glued to our seat to enjoy our meal in misery.

A café in SS2 is set to change that with their ‘pay as you wish’ concept.

Serving up coffee, pastries, cakes and general light meals, Summersault Café lets its customers determine the price tag that its food deserves.

We spoke to Sean of Summersault Café about this unique concept which was the brainchild of its part timers who geniusly proposed the idea.

The very next day, Summersault began running by the ‘pay as you wish’ concept.

With the tight Malaysian economy, it’s cool to see a café in the bustling food district of SS2 offering up such a concept. And guests of the eatery have thus far been reasonable with their payment.

When asked how much customers have paid for the food and drinks at Summersault, Sean mentioned that customers saw the general worth of their items to be RM10.

He added, “The RM10 note is easy to pull out from the wallet in one piece.”

For new customers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Sean stresses that the folks at Summersault are ever ready to explain. He mentioned that this helps to preempt the customers and avoid starting up any unwanted confusion.

He also shared how locals aren’t always warm to this idea but over time, he notes that the right customers would stick by them and return time and time again.

Now, the question is, how much would you pay for these delectable treats at Summersault?
