Did you know that Spongebob Squarepants was actually created by a marine biologist/Nickelodeon animator? That perfectly explains the setting of the characters’ life under the sea. This classic cartoon was created in the late ’80s and till today, it still remains as one of the well-loved animated series of our time.

Fans of the show can look forward to a Spongebob Squarepants marathon and it is a fun run as well as a carnival. It will be held at Setia City Park on March 26, from 7am-1pm. Besides that, there will also be a Bikini Bottom Carnival filled with fun games and activities for the entire family.

The run is divided into 2 categories: the 3km and 5km run. The 3km run is open to participants aged 9 years old and below and it is priced at RM75. Meanwhile, the 5km run is open to participants aged 10 years old and above and it is priced at RM95. Runners will be entitled to receive a Spongebob Run t-shirt, a drawstring bag, a finisher’s medal, a plush pillow and a runner’s bib.

Spongebob fans, what are you waiting for? It’s time to say “aye aye captain” to this fun run!
