Thanks, home baker ChewyBacca (@chewwyybacca on Instagram) who sent us these brownies for a personal review!

First impressions matter, and when we looked at the brownies, we were already favourably inclined towards them. They have a lovely crackly shiny top, and each piece has a single angular chip embedded on the top.

Flavour wise, they didn’t disappoint, they were soft and moist and very easy to eat. We would have liked a bit more crispiness on the top, and personally, we prefer the aesthetic of having sea salt flakes on top too. Don’t get us wrong, the brownies themselves were well-balanced with salt inside. All in all, solid brownies that tasted like it was of good quality, very palatable too.

@chewwyybacca‘s brownies come at RM45/box.

We also had it reheated in the oven a day later, and it tasted just as good, or maybe even better, because warm brownies are probably how they really should be eaten. And we may or may not have left them heating up in the oven a smidgen longer so we could get the top crisped up further.

We do need to add a disclaimer again that there were a few who complained about the slight saltiness in their brownie (We know, what is wrong with them, right?). Tiny regret, we probably should have also heated some up and have them with vanilla ice cream.

At RM45 per box (8″ x 8″), they’re pretty affordable, and if you show up with these to a party or gathering, we’re pretty sure they’d be a hit.
