If you’re a night owl, you would likely be hit by the late night munchies all too often and it seems like plenty of Malaysians are the same too.
GrabFood recently revealed in a statement that during their recent Ramadhan extended delivery hours till 2am, 45% of orders were made during the hours of 10pm-2am.
So yes, midnight munchies is a real thing.
And it’s no surprise what Malaysians crave for in the wee hours of the morning.
French Fries, Oreo McFlurry and Bubble Tea were the top 3 choices for late night snacking.
In fact, 40% of the French Fries orders throughout the month of June were made between 10pm-2am!
To accommodate KL-ites’ midnight cravings, GrabFood has now permanently extended their delivery hours in Klang Valley till 2am, daily.
And yes, it’s more than just McDonald’s.
Some of the participating outlets include:
- A&W
- Texas Chicken
- Old Town White Coffee
- NY Steak Shack
- The Manhattan Fish Market
- The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
- Devi’s Corner
- Nasi Kandar Pelita
- Syed Bistro
- Uncle Rahmat
- RSMY Best Cheese Naan
Of course, the merchants may differ based on different locations as well as how busy the restaurants are on a particular night.
For instance, if Devi’s Corner was screening a significant football match and the restaurant is packed, they may not want to take on external orders for the night.
I don’t know about you but cheese naan for supper sounds awesome, and now it doesn’t have to just be a dream (all pun intended).
