With new eateries and bars popping up every other day, we’ve curated a list of places for you to hunt down this month. Here are some hot just-launched cafes and restaurants in Klang Valley to check out.

1. Hai Di Lao

Ahh, Hai Di Lao. Unless you have been living under a rock, you would have probably heard of the hotpot restaurant’s grand opening at Sunway Pyramid on March 27.

Needless to say, it was a much-anticipated launch and for obvious reasons: they’re known for their top-notch service which includes a complimentary manicure session for customers of Hai Di Lao.

Due to their popularity, we foresee there being queues at the restaurant, especially during peak periods so we’d suggest heading for an early lunch or dinner session to avoid long waits.

Hours: 10am-10pm, daily

Address: 3, Jalan PJS 11/15, Bandar Sunway, 47500 Petaling Jaya

2. Tommy Thongchai

The Square @ Jaya One gains another gastropub this month, in the form of Tommy Thongchai, a Thai gastropub.

Drinks are fairly affordable with cocktails being served at RM20 during their happy hour period of 6pm-9pm, daily. What’s cool is the fact that the mixologists at this pub happen to be Thai. Hence, we’re definitely hoping for some Thai-inspired cocktails.

Address: The Square, G.004, Jaya One, 46200 Petaling Jaya

3. Crème De La Crème

Petit Gâteaus by Crème De La Crème

Crème De La Crème opened up shop this month in the F&B-saturated area of Damansara Uptown.

Joining the trend of healthier-for-you desserts, this dessert parlour serves up artificial colouring-free desserts with a Malaysian twist. Pandan Kaya Toast, Barley Lime and Teh Tarik are just some of the sorbet flavours available.

We’d highly recommend the teatime staple: the Pandan Kaya Toast. As for their petit gâteaus, the Beauty and the Beast dessert stood out for us. It’s a dessert made of Morello Cherry sorbet, Madagascar Vanilla, Weiss dark chocolate and a chocolate ganache.

Read more about it here.

Hours: Mondays-Thursdays: 12pm-11pm; Fridays-Saturdays: 12pm-12am; Sundays: 12pm-11pm

Address: 35G, Ground Floor, Jalan SS21/60 Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya
