Wire loop games are a piece of cake…that is, until you’re the one holding the wand.

Over the weekend, AEON Mall Shah Alam launched its Beat The Buzzer Game as part of the AEON Wallet Cash Up Challenge and needless to say, it puts one’s focus to the test.

In fact, I watched numerous people try the game (with shaky hands) and drop out within the first 10 seconds. That’s because, as easy as it seems, the game gets progressively tougher.

There are 3 levels to the challenge:

Level 1: A 6-feet wire loop game with a 30-second time frame to complete.

Level 2: A slightly tougher 8-feet wire loop game with a 60-second time frame to complete.

Level 3: A 12-feet wire loop game with a 90-second time frame to completeif you’re able to complete this unscathed, hats off to you!

Once you’ve proven your skills and completed the levels within the given time frame, you’ll be invited to the grand finals on New Year’s Day where you’ll compete with the other finalists for the top 3 cash prizes of RM3,000, RM5,000 and RM10,000.

It’s easy to participate in this game. In order to be eligible for Level 1 of the Beat The Buzzer game, you’ll need to have a minimum spend of RM50, while Level 2 would require a minimum spend of RM100 and Level 3 would require a minimum spend of RM200.

All purchases must be made with the AEON Member Plus Visa Card or the AEON Wallet app, which can be downloaded via the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

The AEON Member Plus Visa Card works just like a Prepaid Visa, with the added benefit of 2x point accumulation when used at all AEON retail outlets, including AEON Stores, AEON BiG Hypermarket, AEON MaxValu, AEON MaxValu Prime and AEON Wellness.

As for the AEON Wallet app, it lets you Scan and Pay for items (as well as top up your AEON Member Plus Visa Card instantly anywhere, anytime, and when needed).

If you’re known to have shaky hands, you can try your hand at the other AEON Wallet Cash Up challenges instead.

The Soft Archery Game lets you test your precision skills with a clear target in sightall you need is a minimum RM30 spend. Why not try it out and see if you’ve got archery skills like Robin Hood? 😉

You’ll have 3 tries to gain a minimum of 16 points and this will get you 1,000 AEON points (worth RM5).

Those with a better aim can shoot for 26 points and above as this will get them 2,000 AEON points (worth RM10). In fact, did you know that all AEON points can be converted to cash? You can convert these points to cash and they can be used at any of the following AEON retail outlets:

  • AEON Stores
  • AEON BiG Hypermarkets
  • AEON MaxValu
  • AEON MaxValu Prime
  • AEON Wellness

Alternatively, you can choose to hunt down AEON’s adorable mascots, Sumato and Yokina, with your family and friends.

In the Catch & Hug Me game, you’ll have to first sign up for the AEON Member Plus Visa Card and download the AEON Wallet app. Next, snap a picture with the mascots. If you’re one of the first 50 customers for the day, you’ll earn a mystery gift.

Whether you’re looking to try your hand at the archery, Beat the Buzzer game or to hunt down the adorable mascots, you can look to score yourself some AEON points or if you’ve got the steadiest hands in townan RM10,000 cash prize.
