The Takeover is a weekly series of Thursday night events that happen at Six, Bangsar and it’s presented by SaturdaySelects. Guests can expect a mixture of R&B, Hip-Hop, Dancehall and everything in between throughout the night to always keep you dancing! The lineup for September 7 includes Emir Hermono and Daaliah.

2. The Laughing Gas Ep 17

It’s been an awesome time for standup comedy here in KL/Selangor for the past month. There has been plenty of newbies trying their hand in standup comedy and absolutely killing it. Well, there’ll be a standup comedy session at Morningwood and the cover charge is RM10. Doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8.30pm.

4. TREC Craft Army #5 x Sep

TREC’s artisan market, known as the Craft Army, consists of 2 specific zones called the Rhapsody Square and the Quad. There’ll be live acts performing from 10.30pm onwards on all dates and you’ll get to shop and eat to your heart’s delight. There’ll also be free entry at this event.

5. House Of Vans Kuala Lumpur

House of Vans KL is an event which will be marked with special live performances, from Hujan and Dirgahayu to Zamaera. There will be 2 art workshops going on during the event, including an embroidery and silk screen printing workshop. On top of that, the local skateboarding community will be taking on the Vans Stoop Series contest, which is a skateboarding competition.

When: September 9, 1pm-10.30pm

6. Publika Sama-Sama Bon Odori

In conjunction with Malaysia and Japan’s 60 Year Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations, Publika is organising ‘Sama-Sama Bon Odori’. Happening at The Square, ‘Sama-Sama Bon Odori’ will be a fun-filled celebration of the two nations coming together with a plethora of activities planned such as a parade to kickstart the event, followed by a fusion of cultural performances, art and food stalls and fireworks at the end. Admission is free.

7. Sunday Soiree Pop Up Bazaar
