If you’re a marathon enthusiast, you would have probably attended several runs which are pretty average.
After a while, you would probably search up alternative marathons to attend instead.
Enter Sunway Lagoon’s Aqua Run which will be going down on April 23rd. It includes a marathon set within Sunway Lagoon and is inclusive of 6 fun zones—Rain Shower, Splash Attack, Puddle Mattress, Climb & Slide, Wall Diving and Water Disco Hut.
The first fun zone will see runners getting wet under a light rain shower. The 2nd fun zone is where a splash attack will go down as multiple water sprinklers would turn on. The 3rd zone is a puddle mattress where runners would jump on bouncy watery mattresses.
The 4th fun zone is climb & slide. Climb up a slippery wall and slide all the way down into a pool of water. The 5th fun zone is wall diving. Squeeze yourself through a man-made wall as you journey on to the next part of the course. If you figured this was just like an episode of Wipeout, you’re probably right. The last zone is the water disco hut where you can dance along to some disco beats as you cross over to the other side of a makeshift hut.
Registration will open at 7am before the run officially starts at 8am. Best part is, the race will end by 11am, and you’ll be able to enjoy the Sunway Lagoon rides for the rest of the day with no additional charge.
The Aqua Run is priced at RM120 and the price is inclusive of park entry (except Bungee Jump, G-Force X and Go-Kart). Registration closes on April 18th.
Image Credit: NickALiveThose who have signed up for the run can collect their race pack by showing their e-ticket and IC to the persons in charge at the Main Entrance of Sunway Lagoon from April 20th-21st, 11am-5pm. Those who are collecting the race pack on behalf of the marathon runner can produce an authorisation letter instead.
