Australian, Naomi Price may not strike an uncanny similarity in terms of appearance, when compared against British singer songwriter, Adele. However, when she begins belting out a tune, Naomi can certainly hold her own. After all, she is a tribute cover artist, as well as stage actress and singer, belting out top Adele hits.
Naomi routinely works her magic in an award-winning Australian production celebration of Adele, entitled Rumour Has It – Adele’s Life And Songs. The concert will be held on September 21-25 at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Art Centre. In conjunction with this, Naomi will be looking for 2 male and 1 female backing vocalist to sing alongside her during the concert.
Naomi, who is the creator and lead vocalist of the Rumour Has It – Adele’s Life And Songs concert will be judging the audition of Malaysia’s top vocalists and would select those whom she deems fit to sing alongside her. She would also be joined by a mystery guest judge.
“We are looking for three pop backing vocalists who have great feel, tuning and whose voices blend really well. They will speak English to a high level and have a great onstage presence. Ideally, they will perform the show without music or lyrics in front of them and be able to move naturally,” Naomi shared.
Some of the prerequisites to participating in this audition is for one to be 18 years and above, and hold a valid working permit in Malaysia. Participants must also register online before Sept 2, as walk-ins will not be entertained. If this sounds like you, be sure to head on over to the upcoming audition!
