Digi recently introduced lifetime offers for their differently-abled customers with value plans from as low as RM28/month for 6GB of data.
It is the telco company’s bid to support the persons with disabilities (PWD) community in Malaysia.
Customers with a valid OKU card can sign up for any Digi Postpaid plan and enjoy a lifetime RM10 discount. The sign-up can be done at any Digi store with the customers’ original IC and original OKU card.
Noting how accessibility might not be possible for all persons with disabilities, third party registrations can be done by family members or legal guardians by presenting the original IC or birth certificate, the original OKU card of the differently-abled customer as well as proof of legal guardianship of the person registering.
This is not Digi’s first bid to offer their services to a wide range of customers.
At Digi outlets, express lanes and the aptly-named “Geek Bar support” are prioritised for PWDs, seniors as well as pregnant women.
In the past, the telco company has also funded the development of a Malaysian Sign Language (MSL) mobile app called EDDY in order to bridge the communication gap for those with hearing and speech disabilities.
