Mention Totoro and the adorable grey anime character would come to mind.

Known for its role in the My Neighbour Totoro film, Totoro, which is pretty much a hybrid creature of a raccoon, cat and owl is well-loved and a popular option for plush toys, phone cases and more.

For those who are “toto-lly” in love with the Totoro character, there’s a Totoro-themed café in KL.

Though it has been around since late 2015, Peekaboo Café recently underwent a renovation and now they’re back with more Totoro-themed décor and foods.

At Peekaboo Café, you’d feel at home with their warm, homely environment where Totoro is the resident ambassador and guests are lovingly nicknamed as “Peekabians”.

Meals-wise, enjoy the likes of Fried Chicken Waffle Sandwiches, Eggs Benedict, Teriyaki Chicken Pastas, Pork Bacon Carbonaras and more.

But most of all, Peekaboo Café prides itself on its coffee. There’s the aromatic rose coffee and the single origin ice drop coffee which is an Ethiopian Harra type of coffee.

If coffee isn’t really your cup of tea, opt for some hot chocolate and ask for a Totoro character to be stenciled on the top too!

Relive your childhood memories and snap a couple of photos with the array of Totoro plush toys and figurines available. Alternatively, for those who are hardcore fans of the Totoro character, they could even opt to host a party here.
