Yup, every millennial party these ways would include a series of large, fancy balloons like the ones you can get at Balloon Pixies.
Balloon Pixies is a local startup founded by Malaysians, Belle and Billy Lim, back in January 2015. The moniker for their company came about because, as Belle puts it, “pixies are said to have the ability to fulfill someone’s wishes.”
For the past 2.5 years, Balloon Pixies has engaged a wide clientele which includes local blogger, FourFeetNine’s daughter’s first birthday party, Veet’s product launching event and Love Bonito.
Some of the bestselling balloons at Balloon Pixies are their Bubble Balloons and Jumbo Balloons. “Customers get to customise their own messages on the balloon and choose what to have inside the bubble balloon. Examples include small balloons, feathers, confetti and glitter,” Belle shared.
The price range for each of these balloons are between RM5-RM240, depending on the balloon/package that the client has opted for. “There are different packages we offer to fit our customer’s budget. Packages usually come with one customised balloon and a few pieces of matching balloons. Our packages range from RM140-RM280,” Belle noted.
Besides providing balloons, Balloon Pixies also offers setting-up services for events like weddings, event launches and parties.
The lifespan of each balloon differs. For instance, the transparent bubbles can last up to 5 days but the wordings may become distorted after 30 hours. Jumbo Balloons, on the other hand, can last for up to 24 hours. Latex balloons are the ones with the shortest lifespan, with an approximate of 6-8 hours.
Customers who wish to extend the lifespan of the latex balloons can consider inserting chemical liquid to make the balloon float for up to 24 hours. Belle’s tips of elongating their general lifespan is to place them indoors or in air-conditioned rooms.
There’s just something dreamy about balloons and for those who want to do away with elaborate décor, they can opt to have one or two large balloons for a photo booth section and it’ll instantly set the mood for the event.
