Fratello Italiano is an Italian eatery which opened its doors in September 2016. This restaurant, located in Nexus Bangsar South, has a warm inviting feel to it, and it is a great choice of a place to host a party or gathering, considering it has such a spacious interior.

When dining here, opt to start off your meal with the Trio Bruschetta 3-way, which consists of tomato, rockets and mushroom bruschettas. This would certainly whet your appetite for the dishes to follow and it’s a simple yet delicious meal to have while you wait for your main dish to arrive.

Fratello Italiano’s selection of main dishes include their very own tri-coloured pasta and it is made in store. The pasta (RM18) gets its colour as it is infused with squid ink, herbs, carrot, beetroot and spinach.

Besides being a healthy alternative to the traditional pasta, it is also a filling one. The 3-colour handmade pasta is drizzled with some seafood garlic oil to give it the signature aromatic flavour.

There’s also the option of a lasagna and squid ink pasta with giant prawns. For the latter dish, you can even request for it to be extra spicy. All you need to do is hint to the waiter that you prefer it to be spicier.

If you’re eating with a big group of friends, why not try the Perfect Italiano Pizza which is a good serving size for 3-4 people.

Alternatively, there’s also the Filleto Seabass with Safron Sauce which is said to be aromatic. The safron sauce also adds a touch of creaminess to the fish.

All in all, Fratello Italiano makes for a great place to satisfy your pasta and pizza cravings and the one thing you should try while you’re here would definitely be their tri-coloured homemade pasta!
