1. Power Talk 2016

Public speaking is not an inborn trait that everybody is blessed with, and that is perfectly fine, because contrary to popular belief, it can actually be taught. Power Talk 2016 is pretty much a crash course which teaches one how to speak well and learn the skills of public speaking. It’s a skill that everybody should master regardless of their profession or background and if the idea of learning how to speak well tickles your fancy, pay the RM48 talk a visit.

2. A Shucking Good Time by Boozeat

Let’s face it, as grown ups, the inevitable expenditure we would all have to face is the purchasing of household products such as detergent, dish washing liquid and floor cleaner. It isn’t exactly really exciting, but these are necessary and essential to a home. Still, that doesn’t mean that one needs to spend a huge amount of money to purchase these household products.

4. My Writers Fest 2016

Kedai Fixi will be hosting an event called “My Writers Fest 2016” which would see Malaysian writers and readers gathering at 14 venues throughout Malaysia, with one of the event venues being Kedai Fixi itself. Here’s a chance to meet your favourite authors, get their autograph and take a picture with them as well. Some of the authors include  Lokman Hakim, Tina Isaacs and Joe Chin.

5. Program Sukarelawan Zoo Negara

Animal lovers, here’s a chance for you to give back. If you’re looking for a great way to fill your weekend, why not join the Volunteering Programme by Zoo Negara. Through this programme, you will have the chance to learn about the mannerisms of animals as well as the right way of handling these creatures. Participation fee is priced at RM56 and it would consist of a t-shirt, entry fee to Zoo Negara and Giant Panda, as well as donation to the caring fund of the wildlife in Zoo Negara. Best part is paying a one-time fee of RM56 would entitle one to free future participation in the next 3 months.

6. Cross n Flow (YOGA & HIIT)

Here’s a workout class for those who enjoy a different spin to their sweat-filled experience. Cross n Flow combines 2 workout disciplines into one class, whether that’s HIIT and zumba or karate and pilates. This time around, the free class would be a combination of power yoga with high intensity interval training. The 90-minute session is presented by Wanderclass, a company aimed at empowering fitness communities.

7. Allianz Al-Fresco Cinema

This is one event for the family! Allianz Malaysia will be hosting a movie screening of Kung Fu Panda alongside many fun activities such as inflatable soccer, free popcorn and cotton candy as well as a photo op with the Kung Fu Panda characters standee at the photo booth. 8. SneakerLah 2016

9. Free Puppy Play!

Playing with babies or little animals is known to reduce stress levels and this Sunday at The School, Jaya One, you would have the chance to play with puppies! The event is also geared towards puppy owners because it is a chance for your puppy to socialise with other young dogs. The only prerequisite is that your pup has to be below the age of 5 months, and has had his or her shots.
