Typically, bakeries close up shop by 10pm but Donutes stands out by extending their opening hours, officially making them a 24-hour outlet. It seems that the folks behind Donutes truly understand that sugar cravings wait for no one. Anyone can pop in anytime to pick up some bread or cake. Currently, Donutes has established footprints in Puchong Jaya, Kota Damansara, and most recently, SS15.

3. Chateau de C.A.F.F.E.I.N.E.E.S

Chateau de C.A.F.F.E.I.N.E.E.S was founded and fueled on the passions of food and hospitality, burgeoning from a little café to what is now essentially a café restaurant. Their menu hosts a wide array of Eastern and Western food, offering a comfortable environment in a cosy garden space. Not only do they have a selection of premium coffees and teas, guests can also enjoy a glass of wine, while listening to the in-house acoustic band.

Adapting chemical terminology and designs, this café provides both geeks and non-geeks a new hideout. You can either be fascinated with the newness of it all or exclaim in delight whenever you encounter something familiar. After all, it’s like Form 4 Chemistry all over again. 😛 Get your coffee in beakers, request for sugar water in syringes, and check out coffee beans in test tubes and burettes.

5. Meeples European Boardgame Café

This well-known board game café in Subang houses common board games like Monopoly and Scrabble and other board games which are exclusively European and you probably won’t be able to find anywhere else. These include games like Catan, The Resistance, Ticket to Ride, Gemblo, and King of Tokyo, just to name a few.

6. Tryst Café

If you’re a frequenter of SS15, you must have been to this place at least once. It is a haven for people to enjoy coffee and light snacks, and also with good shisha, which isn’t easy to find. Tryst Café is decorated in a very raw and genuine way, occasionally making visitors think that they didn’t even try at all, which is kind of the point. When you’re there, do not forget to try out their bestseller pancakes.

7. Six Inch Café

Six Inch Café is a popular hangout spot so much so that it seems to always be packed, especially after 10pm at night. It’s not much of a surprise, given that they serve good food and drinks here, along with providing entertainment like their nightly live band and dart games. They have established shopfronts in Kepong, Setapak, and Cheras.

8. Coffee Et Cetera

This place is otherwise known as Coffee ETC, and they’re pretty well known for their Belgian waffle. It is unassuming and simple and you might even get the vibe that it is a fast coffee joint, where you order a coffee and leave. However, that is not the case—their concept is café by day and bar by night.

9. MM Special Café

This has got to be the first F&B establishment based on the famous mobile game, Clash of Clans, or if it isn’t, it’s definitely worth mentioning anyway. Every inch of this place, right down to the illustrations on the walls, are of Clash of Clans characters and its game setting. Plus, even their food and drinks come decorated with little Clash of Clans toys that you can take home as a little souvenir after you’re done with your meal.

It is a sports café where you can catch up on all kinds of sports on their high definition TV, most popular of it all is, no doubt, soccer. Plus, there is also a pool table where you can play a game or two.
