It’s clear that Malaysians love cheese. Pour or mix cheese into a dish and voila, instant virality. That’s what happened with B.A.J. Restaurant.

First introduced to KL-ites in April 2017, netizens went crazy for the unique cheese Bak Kut Teh served at B.A.J. Restaurant. The dry Bak Kut Teh (served with black sauce) is mixed in with loads of cheese, making the traditional pork dish a creamy one.

The claypot cheese Bah Kut Teh is then served with either white rice or other vegetable dishes.

The dish recently regained popularity when netizens who’ve yet to be introduced to the dish, finally discovered it.

Although the cheese Bak Kut Teh is the star of this KL restaurant, it’s not the only dish which is served with cheese. Other Western-style dishes are covered with a thick layer of ooey gooey cheese as well.

Whether it’s sandwiched in between 2 slices of bread or served over some meat, you can get some cheesy meals at B.A.J, that’s for sure.

If you’re not a big fan of cheese, there are other meals sans cheese as well. Alternatively, if you’re on the lookout for other cheesy dishes to try out, check out our list of cheese dishes that everyone should try at least once.
