Mention customisable milkshakes and there’s no one definitive brand that comes to mind. That was until September 2016 when Shakeaway, a UK brand entered the F&B industry in Malaysia, launching their first outlet at The Curve shopping mall.

Shakeaway reinvents the way we consume milkshakes by allowing us to tweak our drinks as we please. There’s something for everyone, whether you like your milkshakes sweet or savoury; hot or cold.

With Shakeaway’s latest outlet newly launched in Sunway Pyramid, you can whip up a milkshake to call your very own too. Which flavour combo will you create next? Here are 10 types of Shakeaway milkshake combinations perfect for just about every typical Malaysian you’ll meet in life.

1. The Adventurous One

What you’re like: You’re often searching up the coolest meals around KL to try and you’ve got an appetite for just about anything and everything.

Your perfect combo: Frozen Peas + Pickled Onions + Whipped Cream

Get the Wicked Wendy, which is a combination of Frozen Peas, Pickled Onions and Whipped Cream. Don’t scrunch up your nose in disgust just yet because this beverage is akin to a warm pea soup. It’s comforting and the perfect companion to some of Shakeaway’s regular fries.

2. The Health Junkie

What you’re like: You’re always at the gym, working on your health and physique, and Greek salads are your absolute fave.

Your perfect combo: Banana + Oat & Raisin Cookie

Get a combination of Banana and Oat & Raisin Cookie for your perfect after-workout snack. It’s got just the right amount of protein from the oat cookie, coupled with some banana for your 5-a-day.

3. The Classy One

What you’re like: You’re never seen without your designer accessories and you’ve got a taste for the finer things in life.

Your perfect combo: Lindt 85% Dark Chocolate + Roasted Hazelnuts + Whipped Cream + Real 23 Carat Edible Gold Flakes

Get the Millionaire’s Milkshake, which is a combination of Lindt Dark Chocolate, Hazelnuts, Whipped Cream and 23-carat Edible Gold Flakes. (Yup, you heard right, it’s real edible gold flakes!) This drink’s definitely one for the Instagram story. 😉

It is pretty pricey though at RM58.80 (large sized), but then again, who doesn’t wanna “be a millionnaire so freaking bad”? :p

4. The Small Eater

What you’re like: You can never finish your own meals and you’ve always searching up kakis to have lunch or dinner with just so you won’t waste any food.

Your perfect combo: Strawberry (Junior-Sized) + Hershey’s Kisses

Get the junior-sized Strawberry and some Hershey’s Kisses and never have to face any food wastage. It’s the perfect serving size for you and the tiny kisses at the end would still feel like a well-deserved treat. Plus strawberries definitely won’t make you feel jelak!

5. The Coffee Addict

What you’re like: You’re grumpy before coffee o’clock and post-coffee, you’ll just be chirpier and craving for more.

Your perfect combo: Cappucino + Milk Coffee Biscuit

The cappuccino is bound to pack a punch whilst the milk coffee biscuit lends a sweet aftertaste, and not to mention, a nice crunch to your milkshake too.

6. The Chocolate Lover

What you’re like: You’re the best person in the world to shop for because your gifter knows that it would obviously be chocolates of any kind (like, duh).

Your perfect combo: Tim Tam + Chocolate Chip Cookies

Get some Tim Tams and Chocolate Chip Cookies for the ultimate cocoa indulgence. Tim Tams give the milkshake a rich, decadent taste whilst chocolate chip cookies are comforting and lend the drink some texture as well.

7. The Classic Malaysian

What you’re like: You’re a true blue Malaysian who adores local cuisine and you can’t go a day without them.

Your perfect combo: Ang Ku + Kacang Tumbuk

Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! This drink has a creamy taste from the ang ku whilst the kacang tumbuk gives a peanut butter-like flavour to your milkshake. Sounds really odd, but it might just surprise you.

8. The Soda Drinker

What you’re like: Your default beverage of choice when eating out is any form of soda and you love the fizzy drink more than anything.

Your perfect combo: Root Beer + Vanilla

This combo is bound to give A&W a run for their money. It’s a classic, comforting milkshake to have with a side of fries or a burger.

9. The Dessert Enthusiast

What you’re like: Your weekends are dedicated to café hopping and you’re always secretly hoping that you can quit your job to become a baker to supplement your constant sweet cravings.

Your perfect combo: Passionfruit Cheesecake + Custard Creams Biscuit

Imagine drinking your cakes and biscuits—now that’s next level indulgence for a sweet tooth!

10. The Nostalgic One

What you’re like: You’re a nostalgic person who always reminisces about the past and you have a soft spot for food you’ve had as a kid.

Your perfect combo: Choki Choki + Twiggies

The Choki Choki and Twiggies combo will remind you of the days when you waited for the roti man outside your school gate just so you could buy these very tid-bits.

Millions Of Combinations To Try, Million Possibilities

With over 180+ ingredients offered in the Malaysian Shakeaway outlets, the options are endless. Heck, you could come here every day for a year and probably not be able to try all of the combos they have to offer! In fact, their tagline is apt: “Never have the same milkshake twice”.

You don’t have to stop at milkshakes either. Shakeaway offers frozen yoghurts, smoothies, shaved ice desserts and fries as well so you get to mix and match according to your mood and craving.
