If you find yourself heading to the same ol’ watering hole every time Friday rolls around, listen up because there’s one bar with a unique selection of drinks you’ve probably never ever had before.

Well hidden within TREC’s Electric Boulevard, is a mafia-themed bar by the name of Crime Cocktail Bar. Crime Cocktail Bar was formed with heavy influence from the American prohibition era, when alcohol was still illegal.

Finding this place would prove to be a task as well, but one which is well worth completing. It isn’t located in plain sight, but you would stumble upon it by first heading to Crave Oysters and Seafood. Next, you’re required to get a pass from the staff there. The pass is then used to access the hidden doors which would finally lead to the entry of the bar.

Upon entering, this bar might remind one of a classic mafia story but don’t be fooled because this place isn’t only about its cool looks. There’re a couple of unique drinks to back it up too.

When it comes down to the signature alcoholic beverages, Crime Cocktail Bar offers a unique range. One drink even comes with a flavourful slice of bacon! The drink we’re talking about is none other than Silk Road Mafia, a bacon-fat infused whiskey, complete with balsamic vinegar and fresh lemon juice.

Not only that, there’s also the Manhattan Market drink which incorporates squid ink. The glass of martini resembles a witch’s cauldron and comes with a side of oyster, still within its shell.

The Bubbly Hotter drink is served with orange salmon roe marinated in soyu. The salmon roe is mixed into a blend of Gekkeikan Sake Josen Karakuchi and Kwai Feh Lychee Liqueur. Imagine having a mild salty taste and a chewy texture as you down your strong sake. It’s bound to have a kick to it!

If you’re not too much of an adventurous person and would rather lean towards the safe side, opt for Naughty Butter instead. This drink is made with peanut butter and espresso and although it has a slight sweet taste to it, it’s still very much an alcoholic drink.

Another option would be the Grand Bloom, which is served with shaved ice and a beautiful dried hibiscus flower. The beverage itself is a mixture of fresh lemon and hibiscus jam with Bols Genever Amsterdan Gin and Creme De Cassis. Truly an exotic drink to have.

At Crime Cocktail Bar, the bartenders aren’t nicknamed ‘soul makers’ for nothing. They put their heart and soul into everything they whip up and these few experimental cocktails are just the start. Be sure to head over and try these cocktails and more. It would be a crime not to!
