Ame Soeur is a direct translation of soulmate in the French language. As the name says it all, this boutique café is widely known for their French-based cuisine and ambiance. Most would assume that French cuisine can get pretty expensive but Ame Soeur is actually pretty affordable.

On the outside, it may look like an ordinary café but wait till you walk in. The interior of this eatery is truly beautiful and it has a Victorian-inspired theme. Full-length mirrors adorn the wall and it is filled with pretty gold plates and utensils.

Right from the moment you walk in, you would be amazed at how grand and fancy this restaurant is. You can also make a reservation depending on how many people you’re planning to dine with. People have actually booked the whole café out for private events. For a French boutique café, it is also pretty decently priced. You can get meals for about RM22 onwards.

One of the highlights would also be their classic Gourmet Belgium Royal Coffee. Past guests have mentioned that the taste is smooth and sweet, even without any added sugar or creamer. Every drop of this coffee is luxury within a cup and it would definitely make you feel like a posh queen.

When it comes to the main course, you should get their eggs benedict or smoked duck linguine as it is definitely the recommendation for first timers. Not only that, if you want an extra crunch, go ahead for something that is a little different from French cuisine—the Nacho Supremo.

For something classic yet unique, get some unique squid ink pasta instead. What’s better is that you’re served with gold cutleries! What better way than to feel like a true royal.

Black sesame pancake is definitely something you wouldn’t see everyday! That also applies to their take on green tea pancakes with sweet potato mash.

If you prefer classic desserts, you can order their stunningly beautiful crème brûlée which some have actually mentioned have taken them to cloud 9!

The entire dining experience at Ame Souer is one you won’t soon forget. They have gone to great lengths to provide a European vibe to their cafè. It is not only a place for a romantic dinner, it could also be a place where you can ajak your whole gang over for some fancy gourmet meals. After all, now you don’t have to go to Paris for French-inspired meals!
