Noodle lovers, here comes a noodle-specialty restaurant that you MUST try! In Sunwaymas, PJ, there is a newly opened noodles restaurant named “Mian”. In chinese, “Mian” literally means noodles. How straightforward is the name of this eatery?!

Mian is opened by a newlywed couple from Sitiawan. Both husband and wife come from a strong Hock Chew family heritage, and as such they wished to share their heritage with others by opening up Mian. Mian is a concept which serves noodles at any time of the day, whether it’s breakfastime or lunch.

The team holds strong to the thought of producing quality food for their customers. Every plate that comes out from the kitchen has to live up to the owners’ standards. This is a different concept especially for noodle eateries which tend to churn out noodles quickly and as such, sometimes the quality is not up to par. Mian makes sure that their noodles aren’t just aesthetically pleasing, but delicious as well.

A plate of al-dante noodle, minced pork and tender char siew is a plate of heaven that you simply could not resist at this restaurant. Mian’s signature noodle is the Kampua Mee. Kampua Mee literally means dry noodles and Mian’s Kampua Mee is divided into two different options.

There’s the black kampua which is a plate of noodle with char siew. The white kampua on the other hand is a plate of noodle served with village chicken. All their Kampua Noodles are served with a bowl of wanton soup on the side.

At Mian, a plate of Kampua Mee will cost you RM7.90 for a small kampua + char siew, and RM8.50 for a big kampua + char siew.

The noodle Mian uses is directly from Sitiawan, in order to ensure authenticity of flavours. Every three days, this special noodle will be delivered to Mian to ensure that each batch produced is fresh. Moreover, the sides like minced pork, char siew, chicken, garlic paste and chili paste are freshly made by the owner themselves, so thumbs up for originality!
