Harith Iskander is a local standup comedian who is known for his good timing in comedy and knowing just the right words to leave a person in stitches. Perhaps that is why he is Malaysia’s best bet for the funniest person in not just our country, but the world too.

On Tuesday night, Harith proved just how funny he is by defeating 15 other competitors to make it to the grand finale of the Funniest Person In The World competition.

According to The Star, Harith will be joined by 4 other finalists including Alex Calleja from the Philippines, Mino Van Nassau from India, David Kilimnick from Israel, and Katerina Vrana from Greece.

The competition, organised by Laugh Factory, is based on 100% online voting and the grand finals will be held in Helsinki, Finland.

The show will be broadcasted “live” online on December 8, at 8pm Finland time (around 1am Malaysian time), according to Harith, on his Facebook page.

The winner will be announced during the closing gala of the competition on December 10. The winner of “The Funniest Person in the World” will receive a grand prize of USD$100,000 (RM444,845), as well as the title of the funniest person in the world.

As online votes will make up half the score of the competition, we can show our support for Harith and vote for him here!
