Since I was little, I have had the uncanny ability to sense paranormal activities. Here are some of the spookier experiences that I have had throughout my life.

The Imaginary Friend

When I was 3, my grandmother used to babysit me whenever my parents are away. I used to have an imaginary friend that would play with me all the time. He is about the same size and age as me and we played together often until I had to move away. I still clearly remember the reason why we had to move out. Our home simply didn’t feel safe anymore and my grandmother watched me playing with an invisible friend far too often.

The Japanese Doll

When I was 7, I remembered heading over to my  grandmother’s house along with my mother and brother. My grandmother’s home was spacious enough to house several beds in a room and we all slept together in the same room. My grandmother had a collection of antique dolls on a row of shelves above her dressing table.

The dolls were facing the bed and I still remember one particular Japanese doll which was positioned in a dancing pose, and it stood out among the rest. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I always felt a pair of eyes watching me.

Even though the room was pitch black, the moon would cast a light against the dolls and I remember how this particular Japanese doll was looking right at me.

Oddly enough, when I woke up the next day, the doll would be faced away from me. Still, I know without a doubt that the doll had been watching me while I was in my slumber.

The Missing Friend

When I was 13, I went to an abandoned block in school with my 2 friends. That particular building was rumoured to be haunted but we were skeptical about it. Once, when we had some spare time before our classes started, we headed there to explore.

We walked around the block for a few times and still saw nothing. We had already given up and wanted to head back to our class, but one of my friends had left his bottle behind. He left to find the bottle and simply did not return. We looked around for him and even shouted out his name but nothing happened and he did not appear.

I figured that it was a prank and we decided to return to where we had came from, only to find the missing friend chilling with his other group of friends. He was surprised to see us. In fact, he mentioned that he too was looking for us and we were the ones who were supposedly missing. Till today, we have no idea what happened that day and whether it had been a paranormal experience or not.

The Figure On The Hill

When I was 16, I went to a camp in Pahang for a school event. On one particular night, I was queuing up to wash my dishes and toward my right, there was a hill. When I looked up, I saw a white figure hiding among the trees, staring down at me. Even though the hill area was dark, the white figure stood out like a sore thumb and it was staring at me. I ignored the figure and continued washing my dishes, but the next thing I knew, the figure was gone.

Just recently, I woke up in the middle of the night, bathed in cold sweat. I saw a black figure standing right in the middle of my room, staring back at me. My heart was pumping really quickly and I wasn’t able to move or shout, so I continued to sleep. Life resumed as normal from then on, but now and again, I still see a human figure lurking around the corner whenever I am in a dimly lit parking area or alleyway.

Call it a gift or a curse, but these are just some of the experiences in my life that I wouldn’t wish on anybody.
