Regular French fries are so mainstream. Sweet potato fries are the (healthier) way to go! If you’re so over the typical shoestring potato fries, why not give their bright orange counterparts a try? That hint of sweetness from the sweet potato, matched with salt and the right condiments, will make a believer out of any naysayer of the sweet tubers. If you want to get your sweet potato fix for the day, these restaurants and cafés in KL serve up just the thing for you:

KGB (Killer Gourmet Burgers)

When ordering a burger, it’ll usually come with normal Russet potato fries, right? Try stepping out of your comfort zone and getting sweet potato fries instead! KGB serves up just that, and you’ll be surprised to find out how well sweet potatoes go with burgers!

RM8.30 per serving.

Available at Bangsar, The Gardens, TTDI, and TREC KL.

The Counter is a well-known burger joint from America, and they’ve opened one of their few outlets outside of the USA right here in KL! They have an extensive list of fries that they make, including our favourite sweet potato of course (served with their handmade horseradish aioli). Besides that, you can also order a mix of normal fries with sweet potato fries, or sweet potato fries with crispy onion strings (this is served with an array of dips, hickory bbq sauce, country buttermilk ranch, and horseradish aioli). Order up!
