Some people are passionate about cars, others about reading, or TV shows, or shopping. And then there are those that just love animals. Some of these animal-lovers have found themselves opening up cafés, with of course, animal themes to them. If you, too, are a fan of our furry friends and want to visit a café that celebrates your passion, then visit the below animal cafés, you’ll be sure to love them:

Surprise, surprise, an animal-themed café in a zoo. But don’t disregard this café too fast though, because they do serve some cute dishes decorated with panda bears to make any girl squeal with delight. Their main panda-themed food attraction will probably be their adorable pau shaped like a panda’s head, making it too cute to eat for some. Other than that, they also have panda-themed cupcakes, lollipops, as well as ‘normal’ food like various local rice and noodle dishes. The walls are decorated with panda imagery, bamboo décor, and animal-print chairs to make you feel right at home with the friendly black-and-white bears. Make sure to stop by after visiting the pandas in their enclosure!

Yes, this is one of those animal cafés with actual pets within to entice the animal-lovers in all of us. Purradise Cat Café takes in cats from all walks of life, and visitors are free to interact and play with them within the stipulated time (some find it very hard to leave the kitties behind!). For RM15, you’ll get one hour to spend with over 20 fluffy furballs, as well as a free drink to choose from from their menu. They also have sandwiches and cakes for you to nibble on if you feel like it. They’re also spreading the message of the virtues of adopting, seeing as some of their resident cats are up for adoption to the public. The spacious area allows plenty of room for the cats to run about and play, while also giving us human counterparts some space to chill out. Stop by if you want to de-stress with some cat therapy at the end of a long day.

This café has already become a popular hangout spot since its inception two years ago, and it’s pretty clear why. It’s a bright, airy café with good coffee and waffles, and plenty of owl-themed decoration to attract the eyes. Their signature waffles, both sweet or savoury, has its hordes of fans, and who can blame them? Not only do they look perfectly Instagrammable, their crispy outsides and fluffy insides pair excellently with the myriad toppings they have available to choose from. The café has huge owl murals on its walls, with lots of little owl details strewn about its premises, in the form of soft toys, ceramics, and knick-knacks. Drop by to get a taste of what everyone’s been talking about. Hoot hoot!

Okay, this one might be a bit of a reach for an ‘animal cafés’ list, but Hello Kitty is a cat, right? It still counts! This cutesy café has been making waves since its opening last year, with everyone dying to dine in this bright pink, Parisian-style café covered in Hello Kitty. The décor doesn’t feel overly gaudy and childish, but instead maintains an air of sophistication and playfulness. The bows and Hello Kitty faces all over the café make it appealing to females especially, though I’m not judging if you guys out there want to snap a quick selfie! They serve all kinds of Western dishes, the most popular of which (as you’ve probably seen online) is their Hello Kitty waffles and macarons, making it the perfect dessert to end your meal.
