If you fancy a weekend’s stay that’s not too far off from the KL city centre, have you considered Sekinchan?

Sekinchan is a spot that every KL-ite would be familiar with, what with the inviting green paddy fields and amazing seafood all around.

But it’s definitely a more common day trip activity as opposed to being a full-on weekend stay, even when there are several homestays in the vicinity.

Perhaps one might change your mind.

Padi Box is a colourful rainbow-themed homestay and café which has been designed from freight containers and it’s situated amongst the famous paddy fields in Sekinchan.

Yup, that’s right, you’d be located smack dab in the middle of a sea of greenery—now imagine waking up to this!

Despite being away from the hustle and bustle of the KL city centre, be rest assured that civilisation is near. What the Padi Box offers is several types of rooms with their own private bathrooms, TV and free WiFi.

It’s also located adjacent to some popular tourist destinations and seafood restaurants in Sekinchan.

Guests at Padi Box can opt to adventure outdoors with any one of the homestay’s colourful bikes or stay indoors and play a variety of board games and card games.

If that doesn’t interest you, Padi Box also has its own pool table.

All in all, Padi Box is more than just a homestay—they organise excursions and activities as well. Those who are interested in joining the Sky Mirror tour, Paddy Field activities, Fireflies and Eagle Feeding activities and the Homemade Soap Class, can opt to sign up for it.
