Bookish Bundle is a quarterly book subscription service that sends you a new book release alongside 3-4 “bookish” items and this could include anything from bookmarks to badges and even stickers.

Each box is priced at RM80 (West Malaysia) and RM85 (East Malaysia).

According to Vulcan Post, each box has a specific theme to it and some of the previous themes were “Royalty” and “Love or Equality”.

Brought to you by the folks behind the MYBibliomaniacs book club, the Bookish Bundle team first started this service when they discovered how popular it was in the US and the UK.

“We thought we’d bring the magic to our Malaysian readers”, the team stated on their Facebook page. In the same vein, they shared how they started this service because of their desire to cultivate the love of reading among Malaysians in a mysterious and exciting way.

As each box is a complete mystery, the recipient won’t know exactly what to expect of its contents until they receive it. Personally, as someone who is loyal to certain authors, this service might not be something up my alley. However, with that being said, it’s something that even folks who are loyal to authors would be willing to try out just to read something that they normally wouldn’t.

As for those who are adventurous with their literature, Bookish Bundle would sit very well with them.

As each book is a mystery before its read, I’d see this service flying amongst bibliophiles. It also does away with having to brave the traffic to head to the bookstore, what with the box being delivered conveniently to your doorstep.
