Authentic food truck grub is no doubt one of the best types of food to enjoy. And KL is blessed with an abundance of food trucks scattered all around the city.

Well, there’s actually a little known spot in Subang Jaya where food trucks gather together till the wee hours of the morning and we happened to stumble upon it recently.

Situated in the SS17/1 area, a handful of trucks gather once the sun sets with their array of finger lickin’ good snacks and meals.

First up, there’s Koyiti Food Machine, with a mix of delectable dishes like the Cheesy Nuggets and Fried Chicken Drummet.

Pitstop Food Truck offers equally as savoury dishes, with a mix of Cheesy Fries with Bacon, Mac & Cheese Wraps and Quesadillas.

Lok Lok is The Signature Chefs’ signature dish and they’re priced affordably at only RM1 per stick.

They also claim to have the best butter chicken dish in Subang and by the looks of it alone, it sure looks like they’re right. But you should be the judge of this and sample it for your own.

Keds Kitchen is perfect for those who are looking for more substantial meals and would gladly chow down on a plate of freshly fried kuay teow noodles.

Opt to have a smaller serving at RM6 or a large serving of fried kuay teow at RM10. Alternatively, opt to add some diced crab into your meal for anywhere between RM8-RM13.

There’s also the Fatty Burger 46 food truck which serves up jumbo burgers with appropriate names like Monster Patty Beef Special:

While not a food truck, there’s also a humble gerai selling what else but ayam penyet and lekor cheese. After all, what else would make for the perfect late night snack?

The food truck hangout spot is open daily, from sunset till the early hours of the morning. As each of the food truck operates on a separate schedule, their timing varies.

One thing’s for sure though, you’re bound to find several food trucks parked right in front of the SS17/1A shop lots each night. And with the recent success of the TAPAK: Urban Street Dining food truck park in Jalan Ampang, you might just find a gem of a food truck right here in the open air carpark at SS17/1A.
