It’s clear that Foremula prides itself on its aesthetics.

You’ll see it in the oddly satisfying monochromatic tiles lining the ground. Or the way that there’s an Instaworthy spot in just about every corner of the eatery.

Dishes here get unique monikers too. Take for instance, Lala Land, a spaghetti topped with clams (lalas) and Ben The Addict, a classic eggs benny.

And the cutlery you’ll wind up using to tuck into these glorious meals aren’t too shabby either. How does a rose gold knife, fork and spoon sound?

It makes perfect sense when you go back to the root of the formula and discover that the folks behind this eatery are crazy passionate about a couple of things, namely technology, great coffee and the creative industry as a whole.

Their aim is to be a place which sits well with your next-door neighbour, your boss and his brother’s sister-in-law’s mother. Basically, everybody.

And they can easily do so with a well thought out ambiance and menu.

There’s Just My Lak-Sa, a laksa capellini pasta cooked in mildly spiced coconut cream with tuna flakes, Vietnamese coriander, ginger flower, onions, red chillies and mint leaves, topped with a sunny-side-up egg.

Then there’s the Crabby Patty, which is a deep-fried marinated soft-shell crab served with fried mantao on a bed of local-slaw, topped with black sesame seeds and a special Foremula sauce.

And you clearly won’t have any beef with the aptly named signature burger by Foremula—You’ve Got Beef?

It’s a 200g beef patty grilled to perfection and topped with double layers of cheese, caramelised onions, honey bacon crisps, acsunny-side-up egg and a secret Foremula sauce, accompanied by skin-on fries and salad.

If the elaboration on these dishes sound like a mouthful, it’s because it is one. But take your time and savour your meals bite by bite, along with the cosy atmosphere and warm cups of java. Chances are, you’d be here for a while anyway. ?
