Grown men hen-somely dressed in chicken suits were seen walking around the vicinity of a Damansara mall last w-egg-kend, sparking confusion amongst KL-ites.

I know. What the cluck, right?

We can’t believe that we egg-tually watched grown men dressed in chicken suits clucking around. We actually wondered if they flew the coup from a nearby farm. Truth be told, it was really unex-peck-ted and they combed out of nowhere. But they definitely weren’t clawing around and these grown men were d-egg-dicated to their roles, as they ran about, free as a bird.

Early birds watched in confusion but eventually played along as they were equally entertained by the performance. After all, it was quite a talon that they had.

Not many Malaysians can pull off the egg-celent performance they did and it left us wondering if they were trained chicken professionals or if they were just winging it. The bigger question though, is if they’d just cluck out at the tail-end of their shift?

At the end of the day, before they made their eventual egg-xit, the chickens were good sports to t-egg things to the nest level with a little chicken dance. Even though it rained earlier in the day, they feathered the light drizzle and did not chicken out of their role.

Well, turns out there’s actually an egg-stremely valid reason why the chicken mascots were out and about in their brightly coloured get up. Yup, the truth has finally scratched the surface.

The chicken mascots were actually part of Tesco Malaysia’s chicken promo!

Tesco is known for their fresh produce offered at affordable prices.

For Merdeka, they hatched an idea for a deal which includes halal-certified chicken sold only at RM5.99/kg. Their everyday-low price promo begins August 31st.

If you’re feeling a little peck-ish, why not t-egg home some poultry and enjoy some rooster-ed chicken?
