If you’ve ever chanced upon a stray animal and longed to feed it, you’d appreciate the latest vending machine concept to be introduced in Malaysia.

Petster, an online community for pets, recently unveiled the first pet food vending machine in KL, at M3 Mall, which is located in Gombak Setia, KL. You’ll find these vending machines located near Texas Chicken.

Each pet food vending machine houses rows of pet food, ranging from cat, dog, hamster, rabbit food and more. The team told DiscoverKL that reptile food is still in consideration because each food packet is customised for each pet type.

The Petster team mentioned on Facebook: “We decided to name this thing “PETBOX”, nothing creative—just because everything you need to feed your pet is available in this boxy machine.”

The pet food also makes feeding stray animals more affordable. You can get RM1 feeding packs for birds, fishes, rabbits, turtles, hamsters, cats and dogs.

The team is currently fine tuning a series of pet food vending machines and they will be placed in several other hypermarkets in Klang Valley, with hopes of hitting public areas such as LRT stations in the near future. More Petboxes are expected to be unveiled in the coming months.
