Late last year, Malaysians got a taste of what it’s like to watch movies on a rooftop.
The experience included catching the movie and the stunning views of our city skyline during sunset. Now, the organisers of Helipad Cinema are back bigger and better with Roof-terrace Film Club, which is a pop up rooftop cinema experience.
Each month, Roof-terrace Film Club will screen several classic Hollywood movies at a selected venue for several days. This month, they will be screening 3 movies at Le Noir, The Hive, TREC.
The movies are Romeo & Juliet, Insidious and Slumdog Millionaire and they will be screened at 7.30pm and 10pm each day, from January 22-24. Tickets are priced at RM49 each and it would include wireless headphones, a house drink and an unlimited popcorn cup for the duration of the film.
Roof-terrace Film Club mentioned on their website: “We provide every guest with a comfy deck/directors chair, however seating is unallocated so we recommend larger groups to arrive early to ensure you can all sit together! Once settled, feel free to sit back, relax, and enjoy the film.”
With that, it’s best to arrive about 15-30 minutes before the movie starts in order to secure a good seat.
Considering how well the past Helipad Cinema experiences has done with tickets being sold out in just 3 days, this pop up cinema is set to emulate the success of Helipad Cinema. It is a one-of-a-kind experience in Malaysia and it would enhance your movie-watching experience for sure.
