Most of the time, Uber and GrabCar is seen as the convenient way to travel around Klang Valley, especially with our heavy traffic. Well, there is a new service in town and it actually allows Malaysians to commute around on the back of a motorcycle which is driven by the motorcycle-cab driver. This new startup is called Dego Ride.

Established since September, they are slowly gaining in popularity. What makes this service so special is that it does away with the conventional car as a means of transporting people around. The motorcycle cab is able to swiftly manoeuvre through heavy traffic and could just be the new way to commute.

Instead of an app, there will be a cellphone number given and you you can book your ride through WhatsApp. The fare counts by 60 cents per kilometer but the initial starting rate will be RM2.50 for 3KM.

The Dego team also takes hygiene seriously and they will provide a clean helmet and new hairnet for their customers. If it should rain during the commute, the drivers would also look for the nearest shelter. Dego Ride is currently available across several locations in Klang Valley.

Besides taking people to their destinations, Dego also extends their services to parcels and prices differ between different parcel weights. For more info on this service, click here.
