Lepak is a word that Malaysians would be pretty familiar with. It loosely means hanging out with friends or family. Lepak-ing with our friends is an ordinary culture for Malaysians and during our hang out sessions, there are those who enjoy playing card games.

In line with Malaysia Day being only several days away, here’s a new card game to celebrate the Malaysian spirit of lepak-ing with! Not surprisingly, the game is also aptly named The Lepak Game.

Launching on September 16, the game is aimed to bring about laughter, as well as unite people in a very Malaysian way. Moreover, the founders wanted to remind Malaysians just how awesome it is to be a Malaysian.

The Lepak Game which is a collaboration between creators Rojak Culture, and All Aboard Community Gaming Centre, is pretty much the Malaysian version of Cards Against Humanity, and it is best played in groups of 4-8 people. Interestingly enough, the game was actually conceived by an American and his Malaysian wife!

And with cards like “take MC/EL” and “bojio“, it embodies not just the things we enjoy devouring such as “laksa” and “char kuey teow“, but also what makes us uniquely Malaysian, such as the aforementioned terms.

So who will you be playing the game with? (:
